Description
Dividing Lines is a series of paintings created by building surface layers of white and then black acrylic. These surfaces are then inscribed with a very fine scalpel, to create delicate lines that include the vibration and shake of the artists hand. They represent the underside of a landscape topography as if the map is reversed, turned upside down, folded edges of fine map detail punctuate the surface, introducing colour.
