Description
This bronze sculpture is created from a cast of a rock surface near where I currently live and work. The process of walking and constantly scanning the rocks for interesting surfaces is almost meditative, the eye is focused downwards, with occasional peaks at the horizon and the shoreline. This personal and small experience is amplified into a much larger landscape by placing the casts vertically to echo the cliffs and the coastal edge. The placing of a small group of buildings reflect the human habitations within this landscape.
